June 14th was National Strawberry Shortcake Day #StrawberryShortcakeDay. I wish David had been around when my Dad’s dad was. My mom used to purchase Angel Food Cakes a Cake that was hollowed out my mom would fill with Strawberries and Whipped Cream.
I don’t remember the name of the Cakes my mom used or where to find them or I would have made David and his dad Mock Strawberry Shortcakes for a belated Fathers Day Gift. If you have a easy recipe to make Strawberry Shortcake leave me the recipe below in the comments.
David is off tomorrow and even though I can purchase #StrawberryShortcake I wanted to get Charlie to help me prepare the desserts to surprise David and his dad and Uncle Mike with. It shouldn’t take long to make 3 small Strawberry Shortcakes should it?
