Welcome to Homeschooling In Texas Buyers Co-Op Mystery Science. Mystery Science is a class I think Charlie would like a lot? The reasons are Charlie likes doing things with his hands and he loves knowing how things work. I can’t wait until David is back at work full time. I think I will purchase this new Homeschooling Resource for us. As it would allow them to teach Charlie Science and I wouldn’t have to stress trying to figure out what to do.

Mystery Science makes it easy to do hands-on science at home, without needing to be a science expert.

Each lesson is an investigation into a mystery that kids wonder about.

For example:

Human Body:

• Why do your biceps bulge?
• What do blind people see?
• How does your brain control your body?

Weather:

• Where do clouds come from?
• How can we predict when it’s going to storm?
• Why are some places always hot?

Earth Sciences:

• Why do some volcanoes explode?
• Will a mountain last forever?
• Could a volcano pop up in your backyard?

Physical Sciences:

• Can you really fry an egg on a hot sidewalk?
• What materials might be invented in the future?
• Could a volcano pop up in your backyard?

The mystery is then explored with an explanatory video punctuated with opportunities for discussion.

Every lesson concludes with simple hands-on activities using simple supplies you already have around the house, a non-fiction reading, an assessment, and additional learning resources.
