February 2: Groundhog Day – #groundhogday

Good morning, today is February 2nd: Groundhog Day #groundhogday the day we wait to see if the Groundhog see’s his shadow which would bring us 6 more weeks of Winter. All I can say is I hope he doesn’t see his shadow because this cold weather makes both David and I hurt all over. How about you?

I had Charlie research Lesson Plans last night and he found Groundhog Day: History, Facts, and Lesson Plan Ideas which we will be using in our classroom today. For Art Class we will be coloring and in reading Charlie is going to read What is Groundhog Day? – Groundhog Day for Kids, Groundhog Day Books for Kids, February Holidays for Kids: Imbolc for Kids, Groundhog Day Traditions (What Holiday is That? Series).

If it doesn’t rain this afternoon and David gets home early enough we will take a walk as a family and see if we can see a Groundhog or two. Then the next time David is off I’m going to see if they would like to go to the Fort Worth Zoo so we can actually see a Groundhog or two. Would you like to come with us?
