National Houseplant Day #houseplantappreciationday January 10th

David and I were so busy last week redoing our Valentine Decorations and moving our Christmas Trees inside and turning them into Valentines Day. This week they say it may end up freezing so David made me a inside garden inside the living room and also inside the kitchen. Which is the perfect time to celebrate National Houseplant Day #houseplantappareciationday.

As you see from the pictures I only have the one red flower but I plan on cleaning out all of the Flower post this week and redoing each pot. I’ve been thinking about getting Pete Moss and Miniature Roses but I’m not sure they would live inside during the Winter. Do you have suggestions on what type of Flowers or Plants I can keep inside and that would bloom during Winter?

The Christmas Trees are live and once Valentines has passed we will redecorate them for Saint Patrick’s Day and then Easter. I can’t wait to go shopping for decorations for both Holidays. For Easter I’m going to put a Easter basket out with Eggs on and around the tree and also hang some from the tree with Little Bunnies and Chicks if I can find some.

For Saint Patrick’s Day I have there pot with golden coins spilling out of it and if I can I’m going to use the coins to decorate the tree and have Leprechauns under the tree. I also need a Rainbow to hang behind the tree which Charlie can make in his Homeschool Art Class. Would you like to help us decorate?

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
