Texas Among Top 10 U.S. States Where Internet Fraud Is Widespread
Texas has the ninth highest rate of internet fraud complaints in the U.S., according to a new study. The research by personal injury law firm Simmrin Law Group analyzed internet fraud complaint data from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) across all 50 U.S. states between 2020 and 2024. The average number of fraud reports per 100,000 residents was calculated to determine which states are hit hardest by online scams. Texas is placed tenth among U.S. states with the most IT fraud reports, logging an average of 1,165.8 cases per 100,000 residents from 2020 to 2024. Life is funny because as much as I love sweets and as much as we eat out and I’ve seen Créme Bruléé in restaurants I’ve never had the inkling to try Créme Bruléé Day and neither has Charlie.
